“The global demand for chemical fertilizers is increasing, because the demand for food is also constantly growing and the soils have lost their nutritious qualities. As such, to produce larger quantities of food, more and more fertilizers will be needed. Romania is in a privileged positioning for the time be, thanks to its good quality soil, so the local demand for fertilizers is somewhat lower. However, this advantage is expected to gradually disappear”, declared Marcello Lambrughi, sales manager at CICh, to Reporter Global, a publication that is the exclusive partner of The Economist magazine in Romania.
